Aadya Foundation gave a gift to Delhi's slums on Rakshabandhan
Delhi. Aadya Foundation, which is famous for its service work in Delhi's slums and red light areas, is once again in the news for working in these areas on Rakshabandhan.
On the day of Rakshabandhan, under the leadership of Aadya Foundation's founder Vandana Vats, all the volunteers of Aadya Foundation went to Delhi's Paharganj, Chandni Chowk, Motiyakhan slums and Shraddhanand Marg's red light area and performed cultural programs, during which the children and women of these areas charmed the people with their singing and dancing.
Along with this, these children and women tied Raksha Sutra to each other and pledged to protect each other. Apart from this program, the women and children of these areas were encouraged to get educated, unite against women's atrocities and organize for self-defense. At the end of the program, Dr. SCL Sharma conducted a health check-up of the people present there and distributed free medicines. On this occasion,
Aadya Foundation founder Vandana Vats said that our organization has always been trying to uplift the poor citizens living in slums along with the people who are away from the mainstream of the society and to make them teachers and self-reliant. We also get encouragement from many sections of the society in this work.
Vandana Vats further said that apart from slums, the main objective of Aadya Foundation is to make the women working in red light areas self-reliant and educate their children. For this, our volunteers regularly go to these areas and work on their education, all the books, copies and bags are given to these children for free by the organization.
Earlier on Independence Day, the people of the organization went to these slums under the leadership of Vandana Vats and organized colorful programs and also distributed water filters and sweets to solve the problem of contaminated drinking water.
On this occasion, prominent people of the organization were present including Kamal Kapoor, Sagar Sharma, Naveen, Shivhari, Vijay Sharma, Nityanand Rai, Sanju Pratap, Gaurav Yadav and Mamta Sain.
Apart from all these works, senior law expert Siddharth Shukla (Advocate) also provides free legal advice to women, children and elderly people besides supporting the social service being done by Aadya Foundation. Siddharth Shukla provides free advice and assistance on all such topics as what are the rights of the elderly under the law, what are the rights of children, whether there is any atrocities on women and women.
